Chris Brigham of CAIS Sustaining Partner Updike Kelly & Spellacy will discuss the new CT Paid Sick Leave law that changes the definition of employer and removes the exception for 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institutions so the definition of employer would now likely include independent schools.  Chris will also touch on the Fair Labor Standards Act changes impacting exempt employees and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, both of which will impact our schools in the near future.
